Hi:

I just wanted to thank you guys at Advanced Nutrition for being what I consider to be a first rate company providing nutrient solutions for a community of hydroponics enthusiasts who's composition is by definition: novice. I--probably like most of your customers--began my journey in the land of hydroponics growing, by using your products. Unfortunately, I didn't understand the bottle's instructions, and my crop suffered to an extent, but because of the 7 mistakes document that I downloaded, I was all over my plants, and quickly noticed the ends of the leaves curling. This totally minimized the damage my plants suffered, so my first grow is going awesome; thanks!

But the reason I am writing you is because of your phone support person, who explained to me where I went wrong in applying the nutrients, to my plants. Initially, when reading the bottle and in using the nutrient calculator, didn't understand that the first row on the bottle which reads, "Cutting/Seedling - Use 1/2 strength in Week 1." meant a plant that had at least three to four sets of real leaves. In my novice mind, I thought that once my seedling had a root system coming out of it's plug, that it was officially ready for nutrients.

I think that it would be a very good idea that you all make a video explaining this aspect of growing, since it can most certainly be frustrating, and perhaps the thing that drives many prospective growers away. Why not give a go at baby talking a totally new grower through the first few weeks; let us know what we should do, in giving new plants food.

Thanks!

Thanks for all the great advice!!A tip I would recommend is to mix any powders in some water and stir good before adding to the rest of the nutrients. This helps them to mix better without floating on top.Mix only one type at a time, don't add several powders to one container of water!!Hope this helps, have a good one, Mike
